The next month is going to feel like taking a dip in the deepest, darkest lagoon tbh. If you don’t drown in emotions along the way, you will break surface on the other side of Scorpio season feeling more powerful and transformed than ever. This will be nothing short of a wild transition in energy from Libra, and you are going to be absolutely shook to your core. When Libra usually takes front and center as the life of the party, Scorpio is our brooding wallflower who sees and hears everything….and I mean everything. Anything but lighthearted or accessible, Scorpio’s contribution to the zodiac is one of emotional extremes, passion, and mystery. She is a Water sign, in tearful solidarity with sweet dreamer Pisces and powerful nurturer Cancer, so her vibe is one of ultra-sensitivity and insane intuition. Her energy, however, is much more intense and hungry. Get comfy with taboo, because Scorpio season will force us to exam the aspects of life we tend to shield ourselves from including underlying insecurity, unearthed power, and untapped sexual tension. Drake, Kris Jenner, and Hillary Clinton are all Scorpios, and I’d say the common thread between these people is clear: power and scandal. That’s the #scorpiovibe in a nutshell. You may not like how Scorpio season makes you feel, but if you can fight through the discomfort, you may shed your tired skin and introduce the world to the powerhouse you’ve always been.
Scorpio is hungry for power, money, and sex and will go to every nook and cranny of the earth to find what will help them gain it with little shame. If you’re searching for permission to unabashedly discover what lurks in the shadows of society, this is your time! It’s no secret that a sexual experience with a Scorpio is majorly freaky-deaky, but CAUTION: if a person tries to make you sign a contract agreeing to let them do whatever they want with you in a room filled with whips and chains, RUN! It’s officially cuffing season, and you will attract a lot of intense characters right now. No judgment if you’re fifty shades of freaky – different strokes for different folks – but make sure you are not gravitating towards toxic people and situations just because of their mystery factor. Honor your personal boundaries while investigating the taboo and dark side of pleasure. After all, exploring sexuality is ultimately about you, and we should be capitalizing on this during the one month of the year where being a lil’ nasty is ordained by the universe okurrr!
Have you ever wondered how Drake evolved from Degrassi Jimmy to @champagnepapi? Kris Jenner from victim of a sex tape scandal to matriarch of a billion-dollar family empire? If there’s one thing a Scorpio knows, it’s how to become a brand new bitch after tragedy, and turning scandal into coin. She is the sign of life, death, and transformation; the only way to rise from the ashes as a phoenix at the end of this month is to bring life and action to the truths we may uncover. Have the courage to explore everything that politeness and decorum tell you not to, and maybe channel that energy into a new passion project. When Scorpio puts their mind and trust in the same place – namely themselves – and gets a taste of success from their passion, they become insatiable until they reach a position of ultimate power and satisfaction. Let’s not fall into the habit of staying up until 4 am researching how to take down your nemesis and earn your first milli in one fell swoop. This energy can turn into obsession and isolation very easily. We can truly tap into this season’s potential by pursuing our newfound interests with a friend! Scorpio wants nothing more than power, but acquires it most easily and healthily with a lover or intimate partner…. that is, after she gets over her skepticism and realizes not everyone is trying to use her insecurities against her. You may feel a heightened fear of vulnerability because of this Scorpion characteristic, but fear not; the universe rewards authenticity. All people, places, and things intended for you cannot help but follow you, so go forth with that brilliant idea and have faith that your bag is secured.
Miranda Priestly (The Devil Wears Prada): the editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine who is undoubtedly a Scorpio to rule all Scorpios. She is dark, skeptical, vindictive, and values power over even her own family. She keeps her private life sealed tight as can be - only allowing one chosen person in her entire staff to enter her home to deliver “the book”. She didn’t become the bad bitch she is by allowing putting trust into just anyone; she expects her select inner circle to be fiercely devoted, even at the expense of their own identities. But she will reward this loyalty! Well...unless it means she has to sacrifice any bit of her own position of power or reputation ...sorry Nigel and Emily :/
Offred/June Osborne (The Handmaid’s Tale): This character definitely shows attributes from other signs, but in true Scorpio fashion, she is powerful in her observation and cunning above all else. She has a burning determination, and will watch and scheme until the perfect moment to act presents itself. Her mysterious nature keeps her enemies guessing and allows her to survive even the most extreme of power dynamics in this series.
Ursula (The Little Mermaid): This villain is a huge Scorpio mood. First of all, she’s mean and sexy at the same time - but she’s also a watchful opportunist. A Scorpio is amazing at seeing and using the gifts and resources of others for personal gain. Now that I’m grown, I’m realizing Ariel was a whole dummy and should’ve read the contract like a true boss would BUT nevertheless, Ursula saw Ariel had something she wanted and persisted with mental warfare to make Ariel’s voice hers.
Santana Lopez (Glee): Okay, Santana is a total throwback but we all hate to love her. Scorpios are known for being vengeful, and Santana stayed plotting a scheme to ruin every other character’s day. She was deep down a real softie, but spent most of the show being a complete asshole because she was struggling with her sexuality. Scorpios can definitely be guarded, and even insufferable, when they’re going through emotional turmoil so this is incredibly on brand.
Daria (Daria): La la la la laaaaaa! An even greater throwback for this last Scorpio, but this is one of my favorite shows from when MTV was still airing music. Daria is an obvious choice here. She’s dark and grungy. You have no idea what her emotional world looks like and she keeps herself very guarded. She judges everyone for being happy because it’s “boring”, and is incredibly cynical. She could write the book on being a Scorpio, truly.
