Aaaaand we’re back to the start of the star calendar with headstrong and energetic Aries! As the youngest sign in the zodiac, Aries is child-like, adventurous, impulsive, and courageous. She ushers in the light, playful energy of spring we have all been craving after seasonal depression hit us like ton of bricks in emo ass Pisces. The magic of Aries rests in her unwavering positivity. With faith that the world works in their favor and firm boundaries, members of this sign are practically unstoppable. If an Aries wants to achieve something, she doesn’t let fear, or say ~ huge ~ obstacles get in her way - she does it while smirking at the haters who doubted her! The Ram is a strong reminder to maintain our zest for life by keeping a sense of humor and a passion for the things we love. Sometimes life is heavy and the world is dark, but this Aries season is filled with opportunity to share our light and follow our biggest dreams with the greatest confidence that we deserve them!
Positivity to the point of foolishness is truly the Aries way, and exactly what we need to get the best out of the season. This month is all about believing in yourself and manifesting. Nobody ever got anywhere by thinking they would never get there, so if you’re a natural pessimist - get with the winning team, hoe! Find ways to intentionally reaffirm who you are, what your unique journey entails, and what you want to achieve, completely free of doubt and fear. My favorite way to insert a sprinkle of joy into my daily routine is by keeping post-it notes with positive affirmations like “you are worthy”, “you are loved”, and “you can have it all” on my vanity or dressing mirror. Look yourself in the eyes, and repeat these things aloud as many times as you need until you believe them. Maintaining positivity is the toughest aspect of manifestation, but I’ve found that small daily acts like writing in a manifestation journal, or keeping a note with your wildest goal on it in your back pocket to remind yourself what you’re grinding for, are effective ways to consistently tap into your personal power. Aries rarely need to be reminded of how worthy they are of a fabulous life because they hold that notion deep in their fiery hearts, and soon we will too!
If you’re typically the cautious type, this season is calling you to be a lil’ more daring. Aries has no problem being the “first”, and neither should you. Mercury retrograde is officially canceled on March 28 so that bitch is no longer holding your plans back! Failure is an illusion and looking stupid ain’t a reason to take yourself out of the game, so start that business, demand your well-deserved promotion, and ask that cutie on a date. The universe rewards those who are brave; if you’ve been sitting on an idea unlike anything you’ve ever heard of, initiate it! You may not have evidence that it will pay off, but you have drive and belief in your personal power - and that’s enough. Being a leader is a matter of habit; if you practice being a boss, you are one. Even if the first leg of the 2019 calendar year has been a rough, the energetic shift of this celestial restart button has nothing but good vibes and pure joy in store if you’re open to receiving it, bby!
As a six foot tall twenty-two year old who exclusively wears wacky colors and has ALWAYS been plus size, I’ve been hard to miss for most of my life. For a very long time I struggled with feeling unworthy, and ashamed of the space I was taking up. Though I have had a fire inside of me since the day I was born, this feeling would often take control in large social situations. Usually, when I’m around those that I love I am a loud, bubbly, and feisty person; however, for most of my adolescence and college, I found myself in the corner of parties, bars, and places where an Aries sun would usually shine. Then, the most magical thing happened - I was exposed to astrology. I spent so much of my life rejecting the notion that all aries are mean, and bossy that I refused to ever give it the time of day. This all changed when a friend did my birth chart in a pizza parlor my freshman year of college. I began learning that there was more to me than just my Aries sun, but most importantly I began finally finding myself identifying and embracing some of the Aries traits that have been inside me the whole time. It’s now been almost 4 years, and I can safely say that astrology has changed my life. I began embracing myself, my FULL self. I found strength and inspiration to embrace the fact that I was indeed, larger than life. I started to understand that you did not have to be mean, in order to be a boss ass Aries bitch. You can be full of life, loving, passionate, and still let that flame burn bright. Though things still aren’t perfect, with the help of a good therapist, astrology and a little self love I have begun to OWN my body and the eccentric personality that comes with it. I am a loud, colorful, opinionated, blunt, loving, fun, friendly, and boss ass Aries! I don’t blend in, and I have zero desire for that to ever change.
